Restaurant Proef Amsterdam
In collaboration with Piet Hekker, Marije Vogelzang opened a new restaurant in Amsterdam in 2006. It was located in a former boiler house at the site of the Westergasfabriek. In this 8-meter-high building we placed a self-contained industrial storey floor of 30 m2. On top of this storey floor, that was used as office space, we placed wooden replicas of plastic “Dixies” (festival toilets). In the area below the storey floor we placed wide span shelving with a whole catering kitchen in it. Special features: a big chandelier, a Bullerjan woodstove and a henhouse. Amsterdam 2006.
